POLICE LOG for December 1: Winter Parking Ban In Effect; Highway Crash; Car vs. Pole

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Sunday, December 1, 2019:
  • Police restored peace between taxi driver and customer, who had problems paying his fare. Customer was able to retrieve cash from his residence. (2:52am)
  • A caller reported his neighbor has a disabled truck partially blocking the roadway that will hinder snow removal. Police spoke with truck’s owner and gave him a winter parking ban letter, explaining consequences of not moving vehicle. (10:00am)
  • Police received a complaint about the location of a LTR bus on Main Street. Police advised caller to contact LTR to file a complaint. (3:08pm)
  • Police responded to a 911 open line. Police spoke with homeowners. Call was an accident due to an issue with an Apple Watch. (3:19pm)
  • Vehicle crashed into treeline on Exit 41, prior to Exit 39. State Police handled scene. (5:46pm)
  • A car struck a pole on Woburn Street. No injuries noted. Vehicle towed. Verizon notified. (5:50pm)
