POLICE LOG for November 30: Train Blocks Fire Engine At N. Wilmington Station; House Egged; Parking Ticket For Blocking Hydrant

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Saturday, November 30, 2019:
  • Police stopped vehicle near Yentile Recreational Facility because operator was driving with hazard lights flashing. Driver was a newspaper delivery worker making a delivery. (3:25am)
  • A Christine Drive resident wanted it logged their house was egged last night. (8:14am)
  • Police noted a mailbox was damaged overnight on Federal Street. (8:42am)
  • Police issued a parking citation in the area of Fordham Road and Cornell Place for blocking a fire hydrant. (10:32am)
  • A caller reported his vehicle was vandalized while parked in the Methodist Church’s parking lot on Thurston Avenue. (2:25pm)
  • Police noted an MBTA commuter rail train was blocking a fire engine at the N. Wilmington station on Route 62. (4:49pm)

  1. It would be nice if the town could hold Keolis accountable for something. Having a train block the tracks at the North Wilmington station is common. Maybe they should be fined for that? Blocking a fire engine is dangerous. As was posted earlier, take a look down the tracks on Glen Road. That was a huge number of trees taken down. Town officials often seem angry at Keolis. Let’s actually DO something about it.
