#1) Wilmington Residents Invited To Tewksbury Tree Lighting

The Tewksbury Public Events and Celebrations Committee (TPEC) is pleased to announce that it will host its Annual Holiday Celebration & Tree Lighting on Friday, December 6, 2019, from 6pm to 7pm, at the Town Common, 1009 Main Street.

Join us for this fun, FREE event on the common. It will be a festive night to
include:

  • Marshmallow roasting on open barrel fires courtesy of Align Credit Union
  • Staging of a beautiful ice sculpture donated by the Wilmington/Tewksbury Chamber of Commerce and its associated businesses
  • Hot cider and donuts from the Wamesit Lodge Freemasons
  • Hot chocolate brought to you by Laer Realty
  • Candy cane treats courtesy of Market Basket
  • Writing letters to Santa, and of course…
  • Meet Santa and a couple of his helpful elves!

Not to mention, the main attraction: the Christmas tree to be lit in the gazebo along with the rest of the town common. Don’t forget to follow us across the street to the Congregational Church to enjoy some homemade pies while meeting Santa.

Please be sure to bring an unwrapped toy to donate to the local toy drive!

#2) Merrimack Valley Substance Use Disorder Symposium

The Merrimack Valley Substance Use Disorder Symposium will take place on Friday, December 6, 2019, from 8am to 3pm, at the Westford Regency (219 Littleton Road, Westford).

This free event brings together providers in all aspects of the field of substance use in Greater Lowell and Merrimack Valley. Attendees will leave with a broader knowledge base of local resources and a better sense of how we can eliminate silos and coordinate services across the communities.

The event will feature breakout sessions and workshops on mental health, harm reduction, Narcan, vaping, workplace wellness, meditation, and community health needs. The event also includes networking, resource guides, resource tables, and educational resource videos. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Parking is free.

#3) Drop-In Storytime At Wilmington Library

The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding a drop-in storytime at 10am. Drop in for stories, songs, rhymes and a fun craft!  Space is limited. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.  Ages 2-5 and one or more adults. Drop in.

#4) Needleworkers At Wilmington Library

The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is hosting a Needleworkers session at 10am. If you do any kind of needlework, this group is for you. Bring a project and learn from others while enjoying a little conversation and camaraderie. Drop in.

#5) Karaoke At Pacific Grove

Pacific Grove (211 Lowell Street) is hosting karaoke from Winnell Entertainment beginning at 8pm.
