WILMINGTON, MA — John E. Gottlander, age 49, a life-long resident of Wilmington passed away unexpectedly on December 1, 2019.
John was born on January 7, 1970, in Lowell, MA. He was the beloved son of John and Elaine (Sullivan) Gottlander. He is survived by his sister, Kris Gentile and her husband Antonio of East Bridgewater. He was the loving uncle to Nicolas, Makayla and Madison Gentile. John is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
John was educated and graduated from Wilmington High School where he played goalie for the school hockey team. John worked as a heavy equipment operator. In his spare time John enjoyed spending time with the family, riding his motorcycle, working on cars, boating, fishing, hanging out with friends and watching his favorite sports team, the New England Patriots. John was an “awesome” uncle; a big teddy bear who loved to “horse play” with his nephew and nieces.
John will be fondly remembered as a wonderful son, brother, uncle and true friend to many. He had a great sense of humor and a smile that was infectious. John’s sudden passing has left a huge void in many lives but he will forever be remembered and loved by all.
