Wilmington’s Conor Rooney Signs National Letter Of Intent To Play Lacrosse At Franklin Pierce University

BILLERICA, MA — Congratulations to Shawsheen Valley Tech’s Conor Rooney as he signs his National Letter of Intent to continue his education and athletic career at Franklin Pierce University to compete at the Division 2 Level in Lacrosse.

A Carpentry student from Wilmington, Conor plans to study Emergency Medical Services.

Conor was the 2019 CAC MVP, finishing his junior year with 59 goals and 12 assists on the season. His career totals to date are 98 goals and 48 assists for a total of 146 points.

“Conor is one of the hardest working athletes that I have had the pleasure of coaching,” says coach Chuck Baker. “He puts in the extra effort not only on the field but off.  He loves the game of lacrosse and looks to get better every day.  Conor has developed into a leader as well and with that and his work ethic, I’m confident he will have success at Franklin Pierce after graduation.  I could not be prouder of Conor and his accomplishments.  He is our first National Letter signee for Shawsheen’s Boys Lacrosse program and hopefully not our last.  Conor is one athlete that will be very hard to replace.”

Conor was joined by his family, coaches, and staff members to celebrate this much-deserved honor, as he looks to make an impact at the collegiate level as a Franklin Pierce Raven.
