WILMINGTON, MA — We are just a few weeks away from We’re One Wilmington’s (WOW) 9th Annual Festival of Trees! The Festival is scheduled for Saturday, December 7, 2019 from 9AM to 9PM and Sunday, December 8, 2019 from 9AM to 3PM at Villanova Hall, 126 Middlesex Avenue in Wilmington. This free family-friendly event features a raffle of fantastic holiday trees, wreaths, and baskets. Pizza, baked goods and refreshments will be available and tons of entertainment is planned throughout the weekend. Admission is free.
We are delighted to have several community groups on hand selling items for their winter fundraisers including Wilmington High School Basketball Club with poinsettias, Wilmington Community Fund with their annual collectible ornaments, the WHS Booster Club with dance fundraiser tickets and graduation sign sales, and new this year, WCTV will be taking visitor photos against their green screen!

The Festival will once again feature WOW’s annual Angel Giving Tree. Children and adults throughout Wilmington decorate ornaments for the tree, which are tagged with holiday gifts for community members in need. Visitors are invited to take a tagged ornament, purchase the gift item, and drop it back to the Festival with the label attached. Donors keep the Angel ornament as a token of appreciation for their good deed.

Tree, wreath, and basket donations are still needed!
It takes at least 100 trees to fill Villanova Hall. WOW is still seeking tree, wreath and basket donations. All donations are tax-deductible and without them our event would not be such a huge success.
Proceeds from this event will be used to purchase holiday gifts for local families in need and to help fund WOW’s other good will initiatives throughout the year.
