WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to do in Wilmington on Tuesday, November 12, 2019:
#1) The Secret Life Of Teens & Tweens At Wilmington Middle School
Wilmington Public Schools invites parents to an important presentation, “The Secret Lives of Teens & Tweens,” on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, from 6pm to 8:30pm, in the Wilmington Middle School Auditorium.
Admission is FREE and intended for adults only. Childcare will be provided.
6pm-6:30pm
The Wilmington Police Department will have an “In Plain Sight” display in the Middle School foyer.
6:30pm-8pm
Do you wonder… What teens/tweens are really thinking? Why they don’t share their fears (or anything) with us? How can we productively support them?
Parents will leave the workshop with new ways of understanding and engaging with teens/tweens; strategies you can implement immediately; and more confident, courage, and patience.
The presentation will be led by Jon Mattleman, a mental health counselor and trainer with 30 years of experience working with youth, parents and families. In 1993, he established Youth/Family Resources, a consulting firm focused on overcoming personal barriers and building healthy relationships.
The presentation is funded through a grant by CHNA 15 from Lahey Hospital and Medical Center.
8pm-8:30pm
A panel of community and school resources will be available.
