WILMINGTON, MA — Town Museum Curator Terry McDermott discussed the life of Wilmington’s most mysterious residents — Mrs. Dr. Henry Hiller — at the Wilmington Memorial Library on Monday, October 28, 2019.
Hiller was known as the “Casket Woman” for the elaborate caskets that she commissioned for herself and her husband in the late nineteenth century. She had “big city flamboyance” despite living in the small rural town of Wilmington. Some has speculated that she is the ghost who is haunting Market Basket.
