SELECTMEN NEWS: Board To Discuss Facility Master Plan, Community Garden, Childhood Cancer Study, Textron On Oct. 28

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Board of Selectmen meets this Monday, October 28, 2019 in the Town Hall Auditorium at 7pm. An Executive Session precedes the meeting at 6:15pm.

There are some noteworthy items on the agenda, including:

  • Selectmen will meet with the School Committee, Finance Committee, and Facilities Master Plan Committee to review the Facilities Master Plan and to discuss renovation, expansion, and replacement of town and school facilities.
  • Selectmen will consider the request of Girl Scout Troop 62457 to obtain open space for a community garden.
  • Selectmen will consider a license for use of Textron’s ballfields and tennis courts.
  • Selectmen will consider the request of Veterans Director Lou Cimaglia to illuminate the Town Common green during the month of November in support of veterans.
  • Selectmen will consider designating special legal counsel to represent Fire Lieutenant Christopher Pozzi in a third party deposition.
  • Town Manager Jeff Hull will provide an update from the state on the Wilmington Childhood Cancer Study Update.
  • Town Manager Jeff Hull will provide an update on the Wilmington Open Space & Recreation Survey.

The meeting will be telecast live by Wilmington Community Television on WCTV — Channel 9 on Comcast and Channel 37 on Verizon.  The meeting will also be streamed on WCTV’s website HERE.
