BILLERICA, MA — A group of over 50 students from 5 different technical areas in the Advanced Manufacturing Cluster got to experience a behind-the-scenes look into how Consolidated Sterilizer Systems of Billerica builds their state-of-the-art line of steam sterilizers.
Students from Machine Technology, Metal Fabrication and Joining, Electronics, Drafting, and Engineering were able to see the complete manufacturing process and how the skills they are learning each day are applied in a variety of highly technical areas.
Manufacturing Day, an annual national event held in communities across the country, is supported by thousands of manufactures as they host students, teachers, parents and community members at open houses, plant tours, and more to change perceptions of manufacturing and highlight the high-tech and innovative companies that are solving tomorrow’s challenges today.
