WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to do in Wilmington on Saturday, October 26, 2019:

#1) Northside PAC’s 42nd Annual Pumpkin Fair

The Northside PAC, serving the Woburn Street and the North Intermediate Schools of Wilmington, will be holding their 42nd Annual Pumpkin Fair on Saturday, October 26, 2019, from 9am-3pm, at the Woburn Street School (227 Woburn Street). All residents are invited!

There will be a petting zoo, inflatable obstacle course, velcro wall, photo booth, games, crafts, and much more. Also be sure to check out the raffle table and the Wildcat apparel that will be for sale. There will be some terrific raffles!

All proceeds go to the Northside PAC to supplement funding for enrichment activities and supplies for both the Woburn Street and North Intermediate Schools. In prior years the Northside PAC has raised funds for iPads and netbooks for the schools, school beautification programs, end of the year activities and exciting enrichment programs for the students.

#2) Harvest & Holly Fair At Wilmington Methodist Church

Wilmington United Methodist Church (87 Church Street) is holding its Annual Harvest & Holly Fair from 9am to 2pm.

The event will include: Locally Made Crafts; Cookie Walk; Vintage Jewelry; Silent Auction Items; Pre-Loved Books & Puzzles; Curated Attic Treasures and Homemade Jams, Jellies, Fudge & Delicious Desserts.

Starting at 11am, enjoy a luncheon featuring Homemade Soups, Chili, Mac & Cheese, and Meatball Subs. Eat at the event or take it go!

And don’t forget to stop by the PUMPKIN PATCH on the church’s front lawn for the best pumpkins and gourds in town!

Admission and parking is FREE. Handicapped accessible.

The event is sponsored by the Wilmington & Tewksbury United Methodist Women. Proceeds will benefit their mission work and youth group missions.

#3) Trunk or Treat Event At Shawsheen Tech

The Shawsheen Tech Classes of 2020 and 2023 are holding a Trunk of Treat Fundraiser  from 1:30pm to 4pm in the school’s parking lot (100 Cook Street, Billerica).

Participants must purchase a trunk or treat bag at $5 to participate. Costumes are encouraged. A percentage of the proceeds will benefit the Samaritans Suicide Prevention Organization.

#4) Autumn Castleberry Faire, Arts & Craft Festival At Shriners Auditorium

The crafters are back for the Autumn Castleberry Faire, Arts & Craft Festival taking place on Saturday, October 26, 2019, 10am-5pm and Sunday, October 27, 2019, 10am-4pm, inside Wilmington’s Shriner’s Auditorium (99 Fordham Road).

Over 200 craftspeople will be displaying and selling their American-made works, including holiday decor, pottery, tile, fine jewelry, soy candles, turned wood, soaps, fine art, toys, wildlife and nature photography, ceramics, wearable art, folk art, hair accessories, painted stemware, stained glass, floral arrangements, country wood crafts, knits, ornaments, puzzles, personal care, Victorian wreaths, leather, pet treats and accessories, oil paintings, children’s clothing, clay, decorative slate painting, scarves, ladies apparel, garden decor, holiday wall hangings, sports apparel, calligraphy, lamp shade covers, sheep skin accessories, embroidery, repurposed wind chimes, fleece, custom signs, quilts, doll clothes, table games, cutting boards, cribbage boards, wooden inlay art, upcycled mittens, terrariums, pine cone wreaths, nonfiction, fused glass, etched acrylic sculpture, totes, fragrance, paper crafts, pewter, aromatherapy, landscape photography, watercolor, holiday pendants, soft sculpture, upcycled crafts, chainmail jewelry, gnomes, and more.

Food sampling will be presented with foods like as herbal dips, fudge, marinades, roasted nuts, pickles, jams and jellies, salsas, hot sauces, biscotti, honey, oils, chocolates, wine slush mix, exquisite pastries, hot chocolate, gourmet soups, candy, balsamic vinegars and more.

Adult admission is $7. Children under 14 years of age are free. One admission is good for both days. Parking is free.

#5) Wilmington Police Participate In National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day

From 10am to 2pm, the Wilmington Police Department and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration will give the public its 18th opportunity in nine years to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs.

Bring your pills for disposal to the Wilmington Police Department (1Adelaide Street). Liquids, needles or sharps cannot be accepted, only pills or patches. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
