POLICE LOG for October 18: Driver Pulled Over Going 90+ MPH On 93; Motorcycle vs. School Bus Leads To Citations

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights of the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, October 18, 2019:
  • A caller reported a coyote may have been struck by a vehicle near the 93 ramps on Route 62. Police were unable to locate. (1:39am)
  • Dawn R. DeRosa (33, Billerica) was issued a summons for Operating A Motor Vehicle With A Suspended License and Failure To Stop/Yield. DeRosa was pulled over on Lowell Street. (5:23am)
  • A Dublin Avenue resident reported she received a threatening piece of mail in her mailbox. (10:02am)
  • Police issued a citation to a driver on 93 North for breakdown lane violation, speeding (90+), and unsafe lane changes. (12:10pm)
  • A Reading Cooperative employee reported a customer was recently scammed online. (12:24pm)
  • Guillermo Rafael Sanchez Jr. (21, Wilmington) was issued a citation for Operating A Motor Vehicle In Violation Of License Class. Sanchez, while driving a motorcycle, was involved in a crash with a school bus at the Wilmington Middle School. Bus driver was also cited for failure to yield. No injuries reported. (1:50pm)
  • An employee at Jimmy’s Garage reported that a man, wearing a trench coat, appears intoxicated and is harassing people at the bus stop. Police were unable to locate. (2:02pm)
  • Police retrieved a syringe from Ballardvale Street and returned to the station for proper disposal. (5:22pm)
  • Public Buildings Department requested an officer to view damage done to the West Intermediate’s field by an ATV or vehicle. Grass was ripped up and a light post was taken down. (8:07pm)
