POLICE LOG for October 16: Car vs. Deer; Tractor Trailer Fire; School Bus Citation

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights of the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, October 16, 2019:

  • A caller reported she struck a deer at Main Street and Cook Avenue. Caller was unsure if dog was still alive. Police checked area and could not locate the animal. (6:39am)
  • A caller reported a fire in the rear wheels of a tractor trailer unit on 93 South. State Police and Fire Department responded. Fire was extinguished. (7:03am)
  • An oil delivery truck backed into a parked vehicle on Taplin Avenue. Police assisted with information exchange. (9:22am)
  • Police issued a citation to a driver for failure to stop for a school bus on Burlington Avenue. (2:29pm)
  • A Wilton Drive resident stated that as he was walking to his front door, a rock was thrown at him and hit his door frame. Caller stated a similar incident happened on Friday and a rock struck his vehicle. Police responded. No damage visible and no rocks in area. (7:28pm)
  • Police assisted Fire Department with a limb pulling down wires off a house on Butters Row. (11:57pm)
