Welcome to Wilmington Reception
Monday, October 21, 6pm-8pm (drop-in)
Are you new to Wilmington or have you lived here for a while and wish to know more about the community? Then please come to the Welcome to Wilmington Reception. Representatives from Town Departments, community groups, and local businesses will be on hand to welcome you and answer questions. This program is in collaboration with the Wilmington-Tewksbury Chamber of Commerce.

Journey into the Paranormal with S.P.I.R.I.T.S. of New England *RR

Join seasoned investigators Jack Kenna and Ellen MacNeil of the Supernatural, Paranormal, Investigations, Research, Intuitive Truth Society (S.P.I.R.I.T.S.) of New England (featured on Travel Channel’s Haunted Case Filesand A Haunting), as they recount their spine-tingling investigations around New England. Jack and Ellen will also weigh in on Wilmington’s own Market Basket ghost, and answer and advise your haunting questions! A book sale and signing will follow the lecture.

Halloween Concert *RR
Thursday, October 24, 7 pm

This concert featuring the talented trio Solstice Sackbuts will be chock full of spooky musical classics and Halloween favorites. Their repertoire will include pieces such as Danse Macabre, In the Hall of the Mountain King, Funeral March of a Marionette (theme music from Alfred Hitchcock Presents), as well as selections from The Phantom of the Opera and from television and movies. Sponsored in part by a grant from the Wilmington Cultural Council, a local agency supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.

The super popular, internationally epic game of tag returns to Wilmington as a library-friendly version played after hours. BYO foam dart blasters. Socks and bandanas provided. Grades 4-8

Decorate vibrant sugar skulls and create perforated paper banners to celebrate Día de Los Muertos. Grades 9-12

Crafternoon: Zombie Barbies *RR

Create a spooky, ghoulish, or downright horrifying Zombie Barbie with acrylic paint, fake blood, and plastic BRAINS! Dolls provides, but please feel free to upcycle your own damaged one if you’d prefer.  Grades 4-8

Toto the Tornado Kitten *RR

Meet Toto the Cat and author Jonathan Hall for a reading of their book, Toto the Tornado Kitten. This incredible story is based on real life events: how Toto survived the 2011 Brimfield, Massachusetts tornado! Children will get to meet and pet Toto after the story. Ages 3+
