POLICE LOG for October 3: Wilmington Woman Arrested For OUI; Backpack Stolen During Field Trip

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights of the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, October 3, 2019:

  • Police assisted with a motor vehicle lockout in the Agfa parking lot on Ballardvale Street. (8:21am)
  • Police noted the stop sign at Cross Street and Lowell Street was knocked over. Police notified DPW. (12:35pm)
  • Police advised a resident she needs to pick up mothballs placed in the grassy area between the sidewalk and street on Pouliot Place. Resident agreed to do so. (2:09pm)
  • A caller reported that an Uber driver was parked in a handicapped spot at Wildwood Early Childhood Center. School official stated no one was at school was waiting for an Uber. Driver left. (3:11pm)
  • A Ring Avenue caller reported that while on a field trip in Boston today, his backpack contained a laptop and house key was stolen. Boston Police notified. (3:41pm)
  • Kristina R. Gilbert (39, Wilmington) was arrested for OUI Liquor, Failure To Yield At Intersection, & Negligent Operation Of A Motor Vehicle. Gilbert was involved in a 3-vehicle crash on Nichols Street. Two vehicles were towed. (5:57pm)
  • During a check of the cemetery, police came across a vehicle at the dumpster attempting to dump trash. Police advised him the dumpster was for town-use only. (8:20pm)
