#1) Wilmington Recreation Commission Meeting

#2) Wilmington Substance Abuse Coalition’s Book Club Launch & Meet The Author Event

The Wilmington Substance Abuse Coalition is launching a book club.

The “Recovery & Allies Book Club” is holding its kick-off event with author Jasmine Grace on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at 7pm at the Banyan Treatment Center in Wilmington (66K Concord Street).

Grace will discuss her book, “The Diary of Jasmine Grace,” where she documents her life of “trafficked, recovered, redeemed” in a collection of powerful and personal journal entries.

The book club will meet the first Thursday of every other month at 7pm. The club is open to all individuals in recovery and allies of recovery. The club will read “The Diary of Jasmine Grace” for its December meeting. Future books will be announced at the end of the October meeting.

#3) Boston North End Market Tour At Wilmington Library

The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is hosting a Boston North End Market Tour presentation at 7pm. Join us on a virtual tour of the Markets in Boston’s Italian North End, to see where locals shop. Italian food expert and chef, Michele Topor, will talk about how to identify the best and most genuine ingredients. Along the way she will reveal why the Mediterranean diet and lifestyle are believed one to be the World’s healthiest. You will come away thinking about the foods you eat and the way you live. #4) LEGO Building At Wilmington Library

The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is hosting a Lego Building session from 3:45pm to 4:45pm. For kindergarten and up. No registration required.

#5) Tour Of Wilmington Town Museum

The Town Museum (430 Salem Street) is open from 10am to 2pm. Come explore Wilmington’s history. Free admission.
