Below is a recent announcement from the Wilmington Police Department:
WILMINGTON, MA — On Sunday, September 29, the Wilmington-Tewksbury Chamber of Commerce will be holding their annual 5k & half-marathon beginning at 10am. For the safety of the runners, there will be two temporary road closures in place:
- Glen Road will be closed to westbound traffic at Middlesex Avenue at 10:10 am for approximately ½ hour. Residents are asked to use Brattle Street, Harnden Street, or Main Street to access their homes while the closure is in place.
- Woburn Street will be closed to all southbound traffic between Park Street and Concord Street beginning at 10am for approximately 4 hours. Residents are asked to enter Woburn Street via Concord Street.
Motorists can expect traffic delays along Middlesex Avenue in North Wilmington and Concord Street for the duration of the race.
