POLICE LOG for September 23: Skateboarder Harassing Drive-Thru Customers; Kittens Living Under Porch

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights of the Wilmington Police Log for Monday, September 23, 2019:

  • A Hobson Avenue caller reported an unknown vehicle was in his driveway with someone sleeping inside of it. Police responded. Driver parked in wrong driveway. Driver was waiting to pick up resident to drive to train station. (5:56am)
  • Manager at Shell Gas Station reported a party took a bundle of firewood without paying for it. Manager called it a miscommunication. Police made contact with party, who will return to store to resolve issue. Manager does not wish to pursue charges. (8:04am)
  • Animal Control Officer responded to reports of family of kittens living under porch on King Street. (8:16am)
  • A walk-in party reported vandalism to a chimney on Meadow Lane. (10:36am)
  • A Salem Street resident reported their mailbox and granite post was struck by a motor vehicle. (12:04pm)
  • Police checked on vehicles in the back of the Wildwood Cemetery. Checked OK. Parties were playing Pokemon Go. (12:37pm)
  • DPW notified after a crosswalk sign was knocked down at Lowell Street and Cross Street. (12:48pm)
  • An employee of Dunkin Donuts on Middlesex Avenue reported male on skateboard was harassing customers in the drive-thru and yelling into their ordering speaker. (2:03pm)
  • Police and Fire responded to brush fire near MBTA tracks by Richmond Street bridge. (6:08pm)
