WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights of the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, September 21, 2019:
- A caller reported she was driving down Shawsheen Avenue, passing Aldrich Road, and a black pickup truck threw a bag of food in her car window, which went all over the interior of her car. Caller already cleaned mess, but wanted the incident logged in case further instances occur. (1:51pm)
- Police assisted with a motor vehicle lockout in the Salvation Army parking lot on Main Street. (1:55pm)
- A caller stated that that there was an elderly gentleman sitting in the Town Beach parking lot for approximately half an hour. Caller believes he was staring at the children. (3:18pm)
- Police notified MassDOT of a loose manhole cover in need of repair in the northbound lane of Route 38, in front of Speedway. (10:09pm)
- A caller reported his daughter stated a vehicle pulled out in front of her on the Lowell Street from the 99’s parking lot, was traveling on the wrong side of the road, and then, after turning onto Parker, daughter heard a loud crash. Police responded. It appeared a vehicle struck a Verizon pole. Minimal damage, but base was moved a few inches. Verizon notified. (10:19pm)
