WILMINGTON, MA — On Tuesday, September 17, 2019, Michael J. Brazell passed away peacefully in his sleep surrounded by loved ones. Michael was born in Somerville, MA on August 22, 1957. Michael traveled a long, hard road the last several years of his life, but his sense of humor never left us.
Michael J. Brazell was a lifelong resident of Wilmington, MA. Michael graduated from Wilmington High School with the Class of 1976. He is well known around town for his 10-year position at the Deli in Market Basket. He was also employed with Advance Auto Parts delivering car parts for two years. His funny and friendly personality had reflected on all of his customers, as it did with his family and many friends.
Michael is survived by his beloved wife Dale M.H. Brazell, his wonderful and caring daughter Amanda Brazell, his terrific son and caregiver Patrick Brazell, his two sensational grandchildren Dylan and Sadie Gilardi, his loving brother Joseph Brazell, his niece Emily Brazell, his nephew Nicholas Brazell, and his brother-in-law Paul Ottobre, and many wonderful friends and staff from Massachusetts General Hospital. He joins the late Mildred Brazell, and his Father, the late Charles Brazell, his sister, the late Michele (Brazell) Ottobre and many other relatives and friends in Heaven.
A mass will be held at St. Thomas church in Wilmington, Ma on Saturday, September 28th at 10:00 AM. The mass will be followed by a celebration of Michael Brazell’s life at the Knights of Columbus at 11:00 AM in Wilmington, Ma (located directly behind the attending church). Per personal request made previously by the deceased, we invite visitors to wear bright colored clothing to represent the brightness that Michael Brazell had brought into the lives of everybody who had been blessed to meet him.
In lieu of flowers, family contributions may be made to the Brazell family at the Church or the Knights of Columbus during the service hours for Michael. Donations may also be made to The MGH Fund directly.
