SELECTMEN NEWS: Selectmen To Discuss Affordable Housing, Police Union Contract, Michael’s Place At Sept. 23 Meeting

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Board of Selectmen meets this Monday, September 23, 2019 at Town Hall (Room 9) at 7pm. An Executive Session precedes the meeting at 6:15pm.

There are some noteworthy items on the agenda, including:

  • Selectmen will consider the request of Sohan Saini, on behalf of Michael’s Place, for a change of officers/directors/managers and alteration of premises for the all alcohol restaurant license for 110 Lowell Street.
  • Selectmen will receive a presentation from Princeton Properties Management CEO Andrew Chaban in his interest to build an affordable housing development on Jefferson Road.
  • Selectmen will receive correspondence from Deputy Chief Bill Cavanaugh relative to a Fire & Emergency Responder Grant.
  • Selectmen will receive an invitation to RMLD’s upcoming Community Open House.
  • Chairman Greg Bendel & Selectwoman Jomarie O’Mahony will announce their appointments to the Town’s By-Law Study Committee.
  • Selectmen will consider the request of the Wilmington-Tewksbury United Methodist Women’s Group to place signs on town property.
  • Selectmen will consider executing a collective bargaining agreement between the Town of Wilmington and the New England Police Benevolent Association, Local 1, Patrolmen’s Union for July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2022.

The meeting will be telecast live by Wilmington Community Television on WCTV — Channel 9 on Comcast and Channel 37 on Verizon.  The meeting will also be streamed on WCTV’s website HERE.
