WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights of the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, September 18, 2019:
- Police came across a vehicle in the Wildwood Cemetery. Female in vehicle was currently homeless. She was sent on her way. (3:00am)
- Police followed School Bus #17 in Salem Street area. No infractions from other drivers observed. (6:33am)
- Jonathan Jay Montero (25, Lawrence) was arrested on a warrant. Police came across Montero when responding to a disabled vehicle at Glen Road and Milddesex Avenue, blocking traffic. (7:46am)
- A walk-in party saw a toy dog on the back of a truck driving down Richmond Street and Main Street. Party was concerned it was a real dog. Animal Control Officer and another office viewed phones and confirmed it was a toy dog. Police will follow up with the vehicle’s owner. (8:21am)
- A caller reported women’s clothing was scattered about in the area of Woburn Street and Lowell Street. Police responded. Clothing appeared to have been thrown out the window of a moving vehicle. (8:53am)
- Police freed a possum stuck in a dumpster next to the Salvation Army. (1:07pm)
- Carlos A. DeLaCruz (26, Methuen) was issued a summons for Failure To Yield At A Crosswalk and Unlicensed Operation Of A Motor Vehicle. DeLaCruz was involved in a 3-vehicle crash at Lowell Street and the 93 South ramp. (2:09pm)
- During a check of Benji Way, behind Ristuccia Arena, an abundance of beer cans were noted. Police notified DPW. DPW noted that it was private, not town-owned, property. (8:33pm)
