WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights of the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, September 12, 2019:
- Police noted that it appeared someone was cutting down trees near the path behind Ristuccia Arena and building a bunker. (1:00am)
- A caller reported she was outside her parents’ house on Laurel Avenue when a white pickup truck pulled up with 2 males soliciting for a roofing company. After a brief conversation, the truck parked in the middle of the road and one of the males exited the truck and began vomiting on a neighbor’s property. Police were unable to locate. (10:32am)
- A walk-in party from Arlene Avenue is concerned her son has been getting phone calls from Publishers Clearing House. Son has been taunting callers. Caller stated they are going to show up to residence with a check. Police advised walk-in party to call police if anyone unwanted shows up at residence. (11:55am)
- Fire Department responded to fire at 81 High Street. Police closed road. No injuries noted. Firefighters removed dog from home. (3:10pm)
- Fire Department responded to apartment on Evergreen Drive after a cell phone battery exploded. (7:26pm)
