#1) Wilmington Housing Authority Meeting

The Wilmington Housing Authority meets at 5:30pm in Deming Way’s Community Hall. Read the agenda HERE.

#2) Ipswich River Community Chorus Open Rehearsal

The Ipswich River Community Chorus, which includes several Wilmington residents, is holding an Open Rehearsal at 7:30pm at the Aldersgate Church (235 Park Street) in North Reading. #3) Great Discussion Series At Wilmington Library

The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding another session of its Great Discussion Series at 7pm. This six-session Great Decisions program focuses on some of the most thought provoking foreign policy challenges facing Americans. Long time facilitator Keith West will lead the four Monday night sessions and Library Trustee and high school history teacher Dan Hall will lead the two Wednesday night sessions. Monday topics: Refugees and Global Migration, The Middle East: Regional Disorder, Nuclear Negotiations: Back to the Future, and Cyber Conflicts and Geopolitics. Wednesday topics: The United States and Mexico: Partnership Tested and State of the State Department and Diplomacy Due to the high cost of the briefing book ($32), the library will have 15 Kindles loaded with the briefing book available for participants.  In addition, one briefing book will be available for in-house use. Participants may also order their own book through the Foreign Policy Association website, the paper version is $32 and the e-book is $12.99 (both iBooks and Kindle). #4) Little Movers At Wilmington Library

The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is Little Movers at 10am. Let’s move! Join us for a morning of singing, dancing, and moving around! Ages 1-2. Register HERE.

#5) Good Neighbor Day Upcoming Deadline

September 28, 2019 is Good Neighbor Day. The Wilmington Department of Elderly Services would like to acknowledge that extra special good neighbor — that person that gets the mail, takes out the trash, shovels the walkway, picks up groceries and just goes above and beyond. Please give the name and address of this special neighbor to the front desk or call 978-657-7595 by Wednesday, September 23, 2019. The Senior Center will make sure that your Good Samaritan is acknowledged with a special baked treat.
