THIS WEEKEND: Wilmington Police & Fire To Support Local Teen Battling Cancer With Softball & Cornhole On Sept. 15

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Fire Department and Wilmington Police Department are holding their 3rd Annual “Guns and Hoses” Softball Game on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at 1pm at Town Park/Aprile Field (791 Main Street).

A cornhole tournament, open to the public, will take place prior to the game at 11am. Registration begins at 10:30am. The tournament is bracket style with prizes for first and second place. Registration costs $10 per team. Pre-register via VENMO (Morganbreen1) or register in-person at 10:30am.

This family-friendly event will also include a raffle table, a 50/50, and a DJ. Refreshments will be for sale. One of the featured raffles is a Boston sports-themed cornhole set. Tickets cost 3 for $5, 10 for $7, and and 15 for $12.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the family of Wilmington 14-year-old Reegan Noble, who is battling Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
