POLICE LOG for September 9: Wilmington Man Arrested For OUI Drugs; Fire On Train Tracks

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights of the Wilmington Police Log for Monday, September 9, 2019:

  • A driver lost his wallet and iPhone left on his vehicle with leaving a Park Street driveway. (9:51am)
  • Police and fire responded to a fire on the tracks at the Wilmington Commuter Rail station. Oil and debris on the tracks were on fire, with smoke coming from the control box. (12:59am)
  • Police noted the walk lights are activating every signal at Shawsheen Avenue and Hopkins Street. Police unjammed button and notified electric light company. (4:32pm)
  • Driver of a gray 2010 Nissan Altima reported a hit and run involving a silver street bike on Main Street. Police were unable to locate. (5:26pm)
  • Paul Joseph Gallant (59, Wilmington) was arrested for OUI Drugs (2nd offense), Negligent Operation Of Motor Vehicle, and Marked Lanes Violation. Gallant was pulled over on Richmond Street after an officer was flagged down regarding a vehicle driving erratically. (6:01pm)
