POLICE LOG for August 30: $11.00 Found & Turned In By Good Samaritan; Car vs. Mailbox; Car vs. Brick Wall

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights of the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, August 30, 2019:

  • Police came across someone sleeping in a vehicle in the Lucci’s Plaza parking lot. Driver worked for Lyft. Situation checked OK. (1:56am)
  • A walk-in party returned $11.00 found in the area of Adams Street and Fairview Avenue. (7:09am)
  • A gray 1999 Lincoln Continental struck a mailbox on Burlington Avenue. No injuries. Vehicle towed. (12:29pm)
  • A blue 2002 Honda Civic struck a brick wall on Chestnut Street. Police assisted with paperwork exchange. (12:52pm)
  • Animal Control Officer removed a deceased snake from the roadway at Houghton Road and Shawsheen Street. (3:41pm)
  • A Fiorenza Drive caller reported several motorcycles racing on Research Drive. Police responded and were unable to locate motorcycles. (5:12pm)
