WILMINGTON, MA — Below is a message from the Wilmington Department of Public Works:
In late August, Joseph P. Cardillo & Son, Inc., a contractor working for the Town of Wilmington, began the installation of a new 12-inch cement lined ductile iron water main that starts at the Park Street/Woburn Street area (where the town is completing its portion of the project) and crosses over the I-93 overpass to the west side of the bridge.
The I-93 bridge crossing portion of the work will occur during the over night hours.
Once connected, this continuous line of new pipe will mark the final stage of water main replacement to be completed in this immediate vicinity.
It is anticipated that the project will be completed prior to October 31, 2019.
Please follow the directives of the police officers and any traffic advisory signs that may be in place.
