POLICE LOG for August 27: Kids On Train Tracks; Ammunition Turned In; Orphan Bunnies Rescued

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights of the Wilmington Police Log for Tuesday, August 27, 2019:

  • A 2-vehicle crash involving an unoccupied school bus occurred on Main Street. No injuries. Minor damage. (8:52am)
  • A caller reported losing his wallet with $300 cash, ID and wallet at Cumberland Farms on Main Street between 9am and 10am. (11:18am)
  • A walk-in party turned in a box of ammunition that was found while cleaning house. (12:05pm)
  • Animal Control Officer picked up three orphan bunnies from Dadant Drive and took them to Chelmsford. (3:06pm)
  • Youths were observed on the train tracks near Bridge Lane. MBTA notified. Police spoke with juveniles and notified parents. Middle School Resource Officer to follow up. (4:45pm)
  • A Paul Street caller reported a heavy set white man with a pony tail knocked on her door, stated he works for the town, and was asking questions about her home. Party thought it was suspicious. Man drove a black SUV. Police unable to locate. (6:58pm)
