WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights of the Wilmington Police Log for Monday, August 26, 2019:
- A Westdale Avenue caller reported a tractor trailer unit took out a rock wall and headed towards Lowell Street, with boulders now in roadway. Hydrant on West Street and Westdale Avenue was also ripped out. A not thru street sign was also found on the ground. Police were unable to locate tractor trailer, but will check security footage from Mobil on the Run. Tractor trailer unit was described as blue cab while trailer with three big letters on the front cab. (4:31am)
- Police assisted Woburn Police with checking on a residence over a possible stolen lawnmower. Lawnmower had been close roadway so parties thought it was out for free. (9:46am)
- A caller reported flowers and a solar light were taken from a gravesite in the Veterans section of Wildwood Cemetery. (2:16pm)
- A caller reported a male party in a black t-shirt looking through tires at AAA Tire Company on Main Street, even though the business is closed. Male party claimed he had permission to take used tires, but could not provide contact information of owner. Police had him return all tires and sent him on his way. (5:50pm)
- Dustin R. Cole (33, Wilmington) was arrested for OUI Liquor, License Not In Possession, Negligent Operation Of Motor Vehicle, and Assault with a Dangerous Weapon. Cole fled the scene after striking a vehicle on Main Street. He was pulled over at Marion & Clifton. (6:55pm)
