WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights of the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, August 24, 2019:
- A walk-in party reported a stolen package from Grove Avenue. (3:19pm)
- Police notified DPW to fix flag in veteran’s area of Wildwood Cemetery. (3:22pm)
- Police came across a mail truck parked roadside without flashing lights on Andover Street. Truck was having mechanical issues and was towed. (3:55pm)
- A motorcycle was involved in a crash on Boutwell Street. Fire Department transported operator. Motorcycle towed. (5:21pm)
- A caller reported a black Subaru with a loud exhaust keeps racing in and out of Billerica on Shawsheen Avenue over the past hour. Wilmington Police notified Billerica Police. While in area, Wilmington Police clocked motorcyclists going 67 MPH and contacted Billerica. Wilmington Police were unable to locate Subaru. Police also heard fireworks in the area. (11:51pm)
