POLICE LOG for August 23: Break-Ins on Ballardvale Street; Ride-On Lawn Mower vs. Parked Car; Erratic Driver

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights of the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, August 23, 2019:

  • Property manager reported two recent break-ins at Cochrane Ventilation (220 Ballardvale Street) and Peace Management (240 Ballardvale Street). (8:49am)
  • Police responded to report of a neighbor on a lawn mower hitting a parked vehicle. Parties agreed to restitution prior to police arrival. (9:37am)
  • Police notified Tree Department of a tree, split in half, hanging over the roadway between the Middle School and Shawsheen Elementary School. (10:06am)
  • A Tanner Road resident reported his trash barrel went missing after this morning’s pickup. Police notified DPW. (11:11am)
  • Police stopped driver on Richmond Street who was driving erratically and changing lanes. Driver checked OK. She was just lost and upset. Police gave her a verbal warning for impeded operation and helped her with directions. (8:29pm)
  • Police responded to a burglar alarm on Jewel Drive. Small room is building acts as a chapel. Parties were setting up for a wedding happening on Saturday morning. (9:51pm)
