POLICE LOG for August 16: Man Pulled Over For Riding Lawn Mower Down Richmond St.; Grandchild Scam Reported

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights of the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, August 16, 2019:

  • A juvenile was reported missing from the Milestone Group Home on High Street. He was last seen around 11:10am on Thursday. (3:19am)
  • A chicken was reported missing from its West Street yard. (11:30am)
  • A Park Street caller reported a scam call. Scammer was pretending to be her grandson and said he was in jail and needed $7,000-$9,000 to get out. (1:15pm)
  • A landscaping company threw grass clippings all over the roadway on Adams Street. Police spoke with the company’s employees, who cleaned up the roadway. (2:38pm)
  • Fire Department responded to smoldering mulch at Market Basket. (2:58pm)
  • Police pulled over a man riding a lawn mower on Aldrich Road and Shawsheen Avenue. Police stood by while tractor was picked up and loaded. (3:21pm)
