REMINDER: What To Expect At TONIGHT’S Wilmington Police’s National Night Out

WILMINGTON, MA — The below announcement is from the Wilmington Police Department:

National Night Out is a community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. At the Wilmington event, we have representatives from not only the WPD, but also from local, county, state, & federal law enforcement agencies on hand to speak with community members and explain each of their agency’s role.

National Night Out 2019 will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, from 5pm to 8pm at Rotary Park, located across the street from the Wilmington Public Safety building. We will have police & fire vehicles displays, equipment displays, demonstrations, crime prevention information, food, & bouncy houses.

The Massachusetts National Guard Black Hawk Helicopter will be present. There will be a dunk-a-cop booth with all proceeds benefiting Cops For Kids With Cancer.  There will be an ice cream stand where donations will be taken for Special Olympics Massachusetts.  Brotherhood for the Fallen and Home Base will be present to speak with residents about their missions.

  • Veteran’s Affairs Police

  • Massachusetts Environmental Police
  • Reading Police Department
  • Massachusetts National Guard
