POLICE LOG for August 2: Vehicle Damages Roadway; Police Called Over Suspicious Behavior

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights of the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, August 2, 2019:

  • Police cited an operator for injury to surface of roadway. A piece of trailer broke off and damaged the roadway by the Main Street entrance to Textron. Police notified Mass Highway due to the road damage. (8:19am)
  • Animal Control Officer picked up an injured seagull from Ballardvale Street and will bring to Tufts Veterinary Hospital. (8:39am)
  • Fire Department responded to smoldering mulch in front of Citizens Bank on Main Street. (2:41pm)
  • A passerby reported a white male with no shirt standing on the side of the road at Shawsheen Avenue and Moore Street, appearing confused. Police located male. Male stated he was just breaking in his new boots and working ons his farmer’s tan. He’s heading home now. (6:54pm)
  • Police out with a vehicle behind Woodbriar Nursing Home on West Street. Parties stated they were just bored and hanging out. Police advised them not to congregate at this location. (7:15pm)
