POLICE LOG for July 28: Graffiti At Town Park; Delivery Driver Falsely Accused Of Theft; Road Rage

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights of the Wilmington Police Log for Sunday, July 28, 2019:

  • Police observed illegal dumping of dropped off trash near the clothing donation bin next to McDonald’s on Main Street. (1:38am)
  • Police noted new graffiti on a boulder at the top of the hill near a small campfire at Aprile Field (Town Park) on Main Street. (9:26am)
  • A caller reported a set of wrenches were shoplifted from Advanced Auto Parts on Main Street yesterday by a food delivery driver. Caller tried to settle the issue with the restaurant, but they were not cooperative. An inventory conducted by the store later found that no wrenches were taken. Appears to be a mistake. (12:03pm)
  • A caller reported a road rage incident. A party got out of his vehicle and the Concord Street and Woburn Street intersection and started punching his window and threatening him. (1:29pm)
  • Police notified Verizon after large branch snapped wire on Taft Road. (6:50pm)
  • A hit and run was reported in front of Lucci’s on Main Street. Police were unable to locate other vehicle. (8:15pm)
