WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights of the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, July 20, 2019:
- A large tree limb broke off and blocked half the roadway on Shawsheen Avenue. Officers moved it to the side of the road and contacted DPW for pickup. (6:15am)
- Lauren M. Christerson (33, Lowell) was arrested for OUI Liquor (2nd Offense), Negligent Operation Of Motor Vehicle, and Marked Lanes Violation. A caller reported an operator was all over the roadway on Main Street and Lowell Street. Christerson’s vehicle allegedly pulled into Shell Gas Station, possibly struck another vehicle, and pulled back out on Main Street. (11:25am)
- A caller reported he earlier observed several hypodermic needles in the roadway at West Street and Westdale Avenue. Police located one needle for disposal. (5:31pm)
- A caller reported a white male in his 20’s with a machete in his backpack walking towards Ring Avenue. Police responded. Item was a plastic sword, not a machete. (5:55pm)
