WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights of the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, July 17, 2019:
- Police came across a vehicle with its flashers on in front of Burger King on Lowell Street. Driver thought she may have hit something in the road. Police will check area. (2:08am)
- A Seneca Lane caller reported his 14-year-old son took his rental vehicle sometime in the past hour. Juvenile proceeded to crash the vehicle on Doane Street and returned home. Juvenile did not sustain any injuries and father denied medical treatment. Vehicle towed. Police arrested the 14-year-old for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, use of a motor vehicle without authority, and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. (4:30am)
- A caller reported the theft of two flower baskets that were placed on a grave in the new section of cemetery near garage. Flowers were placed yesterday and already gone. Baskets valued at $50. (10:39am)
- Animal Control Officer received report of family of raccoons living in chimney on Morningside Drive. (3:48pm)
