WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights of the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, July 12, 2019:
- A Cook Avenue caller reported a power wire was down across her driveway. Police responded and contacted RMLD. (6:42am)
- A tree, possibly belonging to the town, fell into a yard on State Street. Police notified DPW. (8:35am)
- Police located a motorcycle off the roadway at Richmond Street and Main Street. Police made contact with the driver’s family, who confirmed he was in an accident and at Winchester Hospital. Police contacted tow for motorcycle and dropped off items at motorcyclist’s home. (10:05am)
- Police notified Verizon of wire down across Dorothy Avenue. (10:40am)
- A DPW worker reported two juveniles were laying on the railroad tracks north of Lake Street. Police notified Keolis. Police responded and juveniles ran into the woods from Ohio Street. (1:06pm)
- A tractor trailer sideswiped a pole on Hopkins Street. Three poles effected. Road closed temporarily. (2:45pm)
- A caller reported a syringe on the island across from Bill Dube on Main Street. Police retrieved for proper disposal. (3:13pm)
