POLICE LOG for July 10: Kids Playing On Veterans Memorial?; Search For Missing Dog; Beer Cans Found Behind Ristuccia

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights of the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, July 10, 2019:

  • Fire Department responded to a small mulch fire next to CVS. (6:06pm)
  • Police received 911 misdial by a female jogger in the Shawsheen Avenue area. She stated she accidentally hit the emergency button while changing music. Police met up with jogger and confirmed everything is OK. (6:27pm)
  • Police received complaint of kids playing on top of the Veterans Memorial on Town Common. Police observed 3-4 4-year-olds playing around, not on top of, the memorial during the Concert on the Common. (7:21pm)
  • Police checked the path behind Ristuccia Arena and noted a lot of trash and beer cans. (7:27pm)
  • Animal Control Officer used thermal cameras to check for a missing dog in the Beacon Street area. (7:34pm)
  • Police noted an outbound train was blocking traffic at the North Wilmington station. (10:37pm)
