POLICE LOG for July 6: Trailer Fire On Highway; Car vs. Rock Wall; Needle Found In Yard

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights of the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, July 6, 2019:

  • A tree fell on Grand Street and pulled down live wires. Top of telephone pole split. Police notified RMLD and Verizon. (7:54am)
  • A Taplin Avenue caller reported finding a needle in their yard. Police retrieved item for proper disposal at station. (10:44am)
  • Police assisted Fire Department and State Police with vehicle fire on 93 North prior to Exit 40. An open trailer — being towed by a pick up truck — was on fire. (11:09am)
  • A vehicle crashed into a rock wall on Boutwell Street and other damaged two mailboxes. No injuries. Vehicle towed. (8:06am)
