POLICE LOG for July 5: OUI Drugs Arrest; Man Issued Summons After Fleeing From Crash

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights of the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, July 5, 2019:

  • Police received reports of fireworks being shut off on Main Street. Police confirmed fireworks in the area. Parties are finished for the night, cleaned up, and headed inside. (12:57am)
  • Rachael Murray (21, Winchester) was arrested for OUI Drugs (2nd Offense), Negligent Operation Of Motor Vehicle, and Marked Lanes Violation. Murray was pulled over at Shawsheen Avenue and Blanchard Road. (1:23am)
  • Lee M. Nelson (24, Tewksbury) was issued a summons for Leave Scene Of Property Damage, Negligent Operation Of Motor Vehicle, and Marked Lanes Violation. Nelson’s vehicle struck a tree on Salem Street and fled on foot toward Tewksbury. Vehicle also damaged a few mailboxes, lawns, and a ski doo. Wires down. Verizon notified. (2:38am)
  • A Douglas Avenue resident returned home yesterday and stated that today he noticed that a change jar was missing. (11:41am)
  • A walk-in party reported a missing juvenile from the Milestone Group Home on High Street. (11:37pm)
