POLICE LOG for June 21: Vandalism At Wilmington Plaza & Wilmington Crossing; Driver Arrested

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights of the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, June 21, 2019:

  • Police came across a vehicle in the Planet Fitness parking lot with a canceled registration. Parties were advised of their vehicle’s status. Parties were currently homeless and trying to get the vehicle listed in the female party’s name. (12:36am)
  • Police out with a person sleeping in a vehicle on Salem Street. Party was from India. He was driving to Manchester, NH  in the morning. Checked OK. (12:54am)
  • Police noted barrels were flipped over in the Savers parking lot and two kids bikes were left behind. (1:25am)
  • Police noted barrels and planters were flipped over in front of Lowell Five Bank. Police also found broken glass behind Market Basket. (1:31am)
  • A caller reported vandalism to the Bandwagon building on Industrial Way. A bottle was thrown through the window. (8:29am)
  • A Chestnut Street caller reported her recycling bin was stolen overnight. Police notified DPW. (8:31am)
  • Thais Dias (29, Malden) was arrested on a warrant for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding. He also received a written warning for marked lanes violation and seatbelt violation. Dias was pulled over near the Lucci’s plaza. (5:16pm)
  • Fire Department responded to a dumpster fire on Lowell Street. (10:12pm)
