WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington Fit Body Boot Camp (2 Lowell Street) will be hosting a fundraiser event for an incredible non-profit organization called Hero Pups on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at 10am.
Hero Pups places pups with veterans and first responders. Their focus is on those who are dealing with post traumatic stress (PTSD), anxiety and service-connected challenges. By using shelter and rescue pups whenever possible, we are able to help relieve the symptoms while helping a rescue pup in the process.
Join Wilmington Fit Body Boot Camp for a 45-minute session of cardio, strength training, stretching, and sweat! Hero Pups mission is to acquire and train dogs that have the potential to successfully undergo and complete the rigorous training that allows them to assist our veterans and first responders, thus increasing their independence and peace of mind. While they are based in NH, we serve heroes from all around New England. As an all-volunteer organization, we have dedicated our program to put every dollar we raise directly into taking care of our pups.
Hero Pups is a New Hampshire-based 501(c)3 charity. They operate in a donated space, their dog food is sponsored, and local businesses provide services from landscaping to accounting, at no charge to their program. They have almost no overhead and ALL of their donated funds can go towards taking care of and training the pups.
With the help of puppy raisers and volunteers, they are able to provide one-on-one training to each pup entering the program.
