WILMINGTON, MA — Below is a list of FREE upcoming programs for adults, teens and kids at the Wilmington Memorial Library.

Registration begins 30 days prior to the event. Please register online using our Calendar of Events at www.wilmlibrary.org or by calling (978) 694-2099 (for Adult) or (978) 694-2098 (for Children/Teen). Adult Events

The 60s, Moon Memories, and More
Tuesday, July 9, 9 am-1 pm
Buzzell Senior Center
The 60s shout beehive hairdos, bell bottom pants, granny glasses, and more. It was the era of JFK and the race to the moon, Vietnam, and civil rights. Do you have memories or personal photos you would like to share of this decade? Do you have memories of the moon landing? If so, stop by the Buzzell Senior Center from 9am to 1 pm and share them! WCTV will do the recording (oral recording if you prefer not to be videotaped); photos will be scanned on site and returned.  Help us capture the spirit of the 60s!

Searching for the song of the summer? Bring your smartphone or device for hands-on experience navigating popular streaming music services such as, Spotify, Pandora, and Freegal.

Explore Cosmology with Mike D’Eon *RR
Tuesday, July 9, 7 pm
The universe is full of interesting things, and the universe itself is also of interest to study. Unlock the universe’s evolutionary secrets, starting with the Big Bang, at this informational talk with Mike D’Eon, a PhD of Physics candidate at Brandeis University. Suitable for grades 6 and up.

Come play Minecraft with other enthusiasts. Grades 1-5

Preschool Storytime: Stars
Tuesday, July 2, 10 am
This storytime on stars for preschoolers includes books, rhymes, music and a fun craft. Parents and caregivers accompany the child and participate in the activities. Space is limited. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Ages 3-5

Fun on the 4th Family Day
Thursday morning, July 4th, Town Common
Stop by the library tent during the Fun on the Fourth Family Day events. Snap a photo with an astronaut cutout and grab a MoonPie and a glass of Tang.

Little Movers *RR

Let’s move! Join us for a morning of singing, dancing, and moving around! Ages 1-2

Sciencetellers: Aliens Escape from Earth! *RR
Monday, July 8, 6:30 pm
Throughout an intergalactic story, volunteers from the audience will get to discover the unbelievable world of science through experiments and demonstrations with chemical reactions, polymers, pressure, inertia, energy, explosions and so much more! Don’t miss this action-packed and educational alien adventure! It’s totally out of this world! Grades K-5

Preschool Storytime: Summer Fun
