POLICE LOG for June 16: Erratic Driver; Young Bunny Taken In; Train Track Issues; Traffic Sign Knocked Down

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights of the Wilmington Police Log for Sunday, June 16, 2019:

  • A Glen Road caller reported she found a very young bunny in her yard last night and brought it into her house. She was advised that would not be recommended in the future and a long entry would be made for the Animal Control Officer to contact her. (10:56am)
  • A caller reported an erratic driver crossing double yellow lines on Church Street and Main Street. Vehicle entered Burlington. Wilmington Police notified Burlington Police. (12:59pm)
  • Police noticed a vehicle parked in a handicap spot without a placard at Market Basket. Police gave the driver a verbal warning. Driver was assisting elderly mother with errands and will bring placard next time. (3:35pm)
  • Police received calls that the flashers on the train tracks on Clark Street were going off but the arms were up. No train in the area. Police notified Keolis, who fixed the problem. (5:33pm)
  • Staff at Milestone Group Home on High Street reported an AWOL juvenile. Juvenile returned after five minutes. (6:18pm)
  • Police noted the Keep Right Sign on the island at Main Street and Richmond Street was knocked over. (7:19pm)
