Creative Writing Skill Group*RR

Learn and apply creative writing tips, tools, and techniques shared by published authors and other writing experts. Open to all who want to improve their creative writing skills and get their work published. Led by local writing enthusiast Barbara Alevras.

Talk with the Town Manager

Drop in and chat with Town Manager Jeff Hull. This is an opportunity to find out how your local government works in a relaxed setting.

Check out fire engines, construction vehicles, police cars and more! Climb inside and ask their operators questions. Thanks to the Town of Wilmington’s Departments of Public Works, Fire, and Police for making this event possible. Parking available at Wilmington High School and Town Common Parking Lot. The Bookstore Next Door will be open 10 am-1 pm that morning, so stop by for a new-to-you book after visiting the trucks! All ages
Fortnite Frenzy Solos Tournament *RR

Sirius Star Mag: Special Summer Issue
Saturday, June 22, 10 am
This is your chance to work on the first-ever special summer issue of Star Mag, the library’s zine written for and by tweens and teens! Come in and create covers, comics, crosswords, and book reviews—your imagination is the limit. Or, work on original content at home and submit it to Brittany by Saturday, July 13 to see your masterpieces in print. Pick up a copy of Sirius Star Mag on Thursday, August 1. Registration optional. Learning Lark’s Journey Around the Meadow *RR

Learn about Marsh Animals and be a ‘Meadow Maker’! Join Learning Lark & Trekking Turtle on their Journey Around the Meadow. A make-along story telling by STEM enrichment instructors Julia Apostolos and Kendall Inglese. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Wilmington Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency. Ages 3-6

Mars: Revealing the Secrets of the Red Planet *RR

This program introduces patrons to exploration of the Red planet from the beginning with Percival Lowell’s drawings of canals on Mars to H.G. Wells’ War of the Worlds and into the modern era with NASA & ESA orbiting spacecraft, landers like InSight and current and future rovers! Stargazing will follow the talk, weather permitting. Grades 4+ & adults welcome
