POLICE LOG for June 9: Missing Child Found Safe; Cops Called Over Coach-Umpire Dispute At Baseball Game

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights of the Wilmington Police Log for Sunday, June 9, 2019:

  • A Kendall Street caller reported a missing 11-year-old child. The family woke up and he was not in the residence. (9:05am) … A command post was set up at the Boutwell Early Childhood Center. … The missing child was entered into the National Crime Information Center database. … The child eventually returned home. … Police issued a press release on the matter.
  • A passerby reported a young child riding his bicycle alone on Main Street, last seen in the area of Speedway. Police responded. The child’s mother and sibling was walking ahead of the child on the bicycle. They were on their way to St. Thomas. (9:06am)
  • A baseball coach requested an officer to the Middle School field as an umpire is being unruly and refusing to leave. Police responded. Coach was unhappy with being ejected from the game. Police advised him to take it up with the league. (10:40am)
