WHS Varsity Baseball Team (#15) hosts Dracut (#18) at Wilmington High at 4pm in State Tournament opening round action. WHS Varsity Softball Team (#9) travels to Essex Tech (#8) also at 4pm in State Tournament opening round action.
#2) Author Bruce Robert Coffin Visits Library
The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding author Bruce Robert Coffin at 7pm. Bruce Robert Coffin is the bestselling author of the Detective Byron mystery series and a former detective sergeant with more than twenty-seven years in law enforcement. At the time of his retirement for the Portland, Maine police department, he supervised all homicide and violent crime investigations for Maine’s largest city. Following the terror attacks of September 11, 2001 Bruce spent four years investigating counter-terrorism cases for FBI, earning the Director’s Award, the highest award a non-agent can receive.
