Town Wide Yard Sale
Saturday, June 8, 8 am – 2pm
Over 50 homeowners have signed up for the Town Wide Yard Sale this Saturday. Yard Sale maps are available at the library, Town Hall and Market Basket and on the library’s website http://www.wilmlibrary.org Enjoy shopping for bargains all over town!

Packing your bags for vacation? Bring the library with you! Join us for an overview of the WML’s road-trip-ready technology, from streaming movie services like Kanopy to our Library of Things.
How-to Make Your Own Ice Cream*RR
Tuesday, June 11, 7 pm I I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! Join Library Associate Lisa Crispin for a demonstration on how to make everyone’s favorite sweet summer treat. No ice cream maker? No problem! Both ice cream maker and no churn recipes will be shown.
History of Silver Lake *RR
Monday, June 17, 7 pm
Learn more about Silver Lake and its history, known in various eras to be a vacation hot spot, a scene of commercial ice harvesting, a vibrant local neighborhood and more! Panelists will be past and present residents of the area and will discuss life in the neighborhood, local legends and myths surrounding Silver Lake, and how this district fits into the larger Wilmington and Tewksbury communities. This event is a collaboration of the Wilmington Memorial Library and Tewksbury Public Library, with the support of the Wilmington Historical Commission, Wilmington Town Museum and Tewksbury Historical Society.

American’s Teacher in Space was an educational pioneer and her goals and accomplishments are explored in this multi-media performance experience. Join Judith Kalaora for her one-woman, living history performances, chronicling the lives of legendary women. Grades 1 and up.
Adventures in Acting: The Star You Are! *RR

Calling all young actors to have a blast bringing our stories to life by playing theatre games and performing a group scene to explore the fine art of creative dynamics. A variety of costumes will be available to spark and enhance this fun, dramatic adventure! Grades K-3

Summer Reading Kickoff: Magician Scott Jameson *RR
Saturday, June 15, 11 am
Join magician and juggler Scott Jameson for an extraordinary performance that will have you laughing out loud and perched on the very edge of your seat. Umbrellas will be plucked from thin air, a drawing will come to life, basketballs will be spun and juggled, and a member of the audience will unlock telekinetic abilities. Ages 3+
Library News
Outside Seating Project
The construction of the library’s outdoor seating area behind the library is underway! We are looking forward to having this project completed for the upcoming summer months. The outdoor seating area that will include a small patio, two picnic tables and two benches is funded by the Friends of the Library Annual Appeal, state aid funds and gift monies. Anyone wishing to donate, may still do so online at www.wilmlibrary.org on the Friends of the Library page or mailing a check to the Friends of the Wilmington Memorial Library, 175 Middlesex Avenue, Wilmington, MA.
Library Passes to Outdoor Places
With the rain gone and the nice weather finally here, take advantage of using the library’s passes to the following: Drumlin Farm (Mass Audubon Pass), Mass Sate Parks, Trustees of Reservations and Zoo New England. Pass may be reserved on the library’s website.
